The UK Website the brain child of Chris Macklin a Consultant Surgeon in Yorkshire.  He began by creating websites for the colorectal surgical trainees club, The Dukes' Club, The Association of Surgeons in Training, and has worked with The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland and The Association of Surgeons.  A number of colleagues wanted their own websites and there was no clear directory of surgeons in private pracitce that was independent of the major insurers or the private hospitals - and so UK Surgeon Company was formed providing web services for surgeons and UK Surgeon Directory was created as a directory for surgeons in private practice.

Izzy Macklin is Chris Macklin's daughter.  She is doing A levels and has worked with a local IT company, Torchbearer Interactive Limited, learning about website design and social media marketing. She knows full well the time constraints placed upon people for various reasons and she provides most of the hard graft to create the web pages!
She is currently working to raise money for a humanitarian trip to Madagascar.
